About this training
Evidence-based therapy is moving away from rigid treatment protocols towards a more sophisticated integration of methods tailored to each client. Therapies such as ERP and ACT are widely used for OCD, but they mainly view it through intrapersonal factors: obsessions, rituals and avoidance. A growing number of experienced, evidence-based clinicians are now also looking at the interpersonal factors that contribute to OCD, such as emotional awareness, authentic self-expression and how clients notice their impact on others.
This is a rare training on integrating Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) into OCD treatment. It has been edited down from a four-hour original training, with client footage removed to protect confidentiality.
